Rules and regulations

Uniform

  • Students must be in uniform during college hours.
  • Any student found without uniform will be charged Rs.10/- per day. Special checking fine will be Rs.20/- to Rs.100/-
  • The habitual students will not be allowed to enter into the College.
  • Theory uniform must be in theory days and Practical uniform must be in practical days.

Student Identity Card

  • Every student should keep I.D Card, issued to him by the college.
  • In case of loss of card the student has to provide press cutting in this regards and an undertaking on stamp paper of Rs.30/-plus a fine of Rs.50/-.
  • Identity card should be returned at the time of completion of course, otherwise security of the concerned student will be forfeited.

Class Attendance

  • Absent Student will be fined 10/- per day.
  • If a student is continuously absent from the centre for 06 days without prior permission, his name will be struck off from the roll of the college.
  • Re-admission is allowed within a week time upto maximum of two chances. After that student will be permanently struck off.

Leave

  • Students are required to score 100% attendance during the session as per rules already enforced. However, the candidate who has 80% attendance will be allowed to appear in the Punjab Board of Education examination after submitting the undertaking to compensate for his absence. However, if a student will not compensate, he will be fined Rs.100/- per day which has to be paid before promotion to next class. Student with less than 75% will not be allowed to appear in exam to be conducted by the Board of Technical Education.
  • Any student struck off three time in session has to repeat his session/ has to get new admission in new session.
  • Every student has to maintain his attendance up to 80% in every month otherwise he will be struck off without any notice otherwise rule no. 02 will be applied.
  • A test of every subject will be conducted in every month and his report will be sent to his parents. A student continuously fail in two tests in a subject will struck off without any notice and rule no. 2 will be applied for readmission
  • Leave is normally discouraged.
  • Leave application must be countersigned by the parents.
  • The Student must take prior permission from their respective Podium Incharge / Principal in case of leave.
  • Emergency leaves can be sanctioned afterward on proper grounds.
  • Sick leave should have a medical certificate from a medical officer of Govt. Dispensary / Hospital.
  • Readmission is allowed for two times only if any student is struck off within two weeks.
  • Any student involve in misconduct with any staff member/Teacher will be discharge from the centre immediately.

Conduct and discipline regulations

These regulations shall apply to all the students on roll in the centre.

Student Code of Honour

                   Every student shall observe the following code of conduct:

  1. Faithfulness in his religion and respect for convection of other in matters and religion conscience and customs.
  2. Loyalty to Pakistan & refraining from doing anything which might lower its dignity and prestige in any way.
  3. Truthfulness and be honest in dealing with other people.
  4. Respect for everyone.
  5. Respect for teachers and other staff member of the centre.
  6. Cleanliness of body, mind, speech and habits.

Prohibited Act

                   The Student should strictly refrain from:

  • Smoking, use of drugs, alcohol etc., in the centre.
  • Organizing of any function within the Centre or Hostel or organizing any club, society, union, association, federation.
  • Staging inciting or participating in any walkout strike or agitation against centre, doing anything in any way to promote rift and hatred among various groups or castes of student community, using press making false accusations wall chalking, posters etc.
  • Bringing, carrying and keeping of fire arms or any other weapons (of any nature) within the Centre / Class room, Hostel, Offices, etc.
  • Causing damage to public property.
  • Using loud speakers, Megaphone decks in the Centre / Hostel.

Act Of Indiscipline

                   A student who:

  • Disobeys the lawful order of a teacher or other persons in authority in the centre.
  • Habitually neglects his work or habitually absents himself from the class.
  • Willfully damages centre or public property or the property or a fellow student or any teacher employee of the centre.
  • Does not pay fees, fine or other dues payable under rules.

PROCEDURE IN CASE OF BREACH OF DISCIPLINE:

                   The Principal / Centre Head on the recommendation of the council may take action as:

i) RUSTICATION:

  • Rustication whenever imposed on a student shall always mean the loss of one academic year.
  • He may be admitted on expiry of the period.
  • No fee will be charged for the period of rustication.

ii) Expulsion:

  • The period of the expulsion will be counted from the date of issue of notice by the college.
  • Name of expelled students will immediately be removed from the college roll and no fee will be refunded for the subsequent months.
  • A student expelled may readmitted into the college or another affiliated college after expiry of the expulsion period.

General

  • Rustication may be withdrawn by the same authority before the expiry period
  • Show cause notice shall be provided with one week time for explanation and reply.

 

Appeal

  • An appeal against the punishment awarded by the authorities shall lie to the appellate committee.
  • The appeal of the student should be within Seven days after that no appeal will be entertained.

Offence & Penalty

  • Misbehave, non-cooperating with Principal, teacher, Hostel caretaker or any other staff members.
  • Indiscipline in the Workshop / Lab / Library.
  • Indiscipline in games inside or outside the ground.

In above cases, Rs.100/- fine will be imposed plus removal from class/hostel by class teacher / games by DPE / Hostel caretaker with permission of the Principal.

Podium Incharge, Class Teacher & Student Proctor are responsible for keeping peace, discipline, uniform checking etc. in the Centre. Any major incident may be immediately reported to the Principal for appropriate action / measures.

Note:   When the rules are silent, the decision of the Principal will be final.
